About Counseling

The Counseling Department provides assistance to our students in order for them to have a successful three year experience at Addams.  We recognize that the middle school years are an opportunity for positive growth during the often challenging transition through adolescence.  Ms. Saldana and Mr. McCann focus on assisting students during this transition by providing services toward meeting the academic, social and emotional needs of the students.

The counselors have many resources in place to help students reach their academic potential.  These resources include academic counseling groups, individual academic progress monitoring and an after school homework club.  We recognize the importance of communication with parents to ensure academic success.  In addition to the six-week progress report/ report cards, the counselors provide parent guidance with the student agenda and the grade portal on the computer.  We encourage parents to contact the counselors for conferences regarding student progress and developing a plan for success.
